So know how I said I was going back to work on March 22nd? Heh, NOT. I’m actually going back Monday but I only have to work for 4 days cuz our location is closing down and we’re all getting laid off. Yipee! Obviously, I am thrilled. This last month and a half of school is going to be tough. But it’ll be a little easier if I don’t have work to worry about. Our next final is on Monday and then we’ll be in the last mod. My last day of school is August 12. It seems so far and yet not. I’m excited for it to be over but nervous as all hell. I try to be confident but then I get a bad grade on a quiz or I mess up something SO stupid and *whoosh* there goes confidence. It’s very frustrating. Oh! We got to watch an autopsy! Not live (unfortunately), it was on dvd. Still pretty interesting. A lot of it looked like food. Like congealed blood in the heart looks like grape jelly, ribs look like ribs, and I don’t know if it was the lighting but the woman’s fat was cheeto-colored. I couldn’t tell Matt about it cuz he gets grossed out easily. You’d think he’d be used to it-he’s seen every Saw movie in the theaters w/ me. Guess I can’t tell him when we dissect fetal pigs in class. Would it be mean if I sent him a pic of the pig brains? 
I read a buttload of books so far. My year started off very slow, with only 4 books in January but I’ve been in the double digits since Feb. I’m on my 70th book now. My goal for this year was to read more new books but I did reread the Dresden files, Sookie and Kushiel series. So yeah, not as many new books as I wanted to read. I just counted-38 new books, 32 rereads. Of course if it wasn’t for Facebook, I’d probably have read at least 10 more books by this point.I had to make a new Facebook for the ‘real’ me cuz the game stuff overtook my other FB.
Matt and I watched all 7 seasons of Buffy and we’re into the second season of Angel. Spike is my fave character and I really didn’t like Angel much but I am warming up to him. I found out that James Marsters (Spike) was going to be at Wizard World Philly so I talked Matt into going. We saw Linda Hamilton while we were waiting in line but I didn’t get the camera out fast enough. And then I met JM! He is AWESOME. Easily my fave celeb so far. He wasn’t in a rush and he talked to us and I must’ve shaken his hand like 4 times, haha. After that, we went to meet Julie Newmar. She was nice too, a little flighty but she was so sweet. We went to JM’s Q& A and it was fantastic. After we ate, we went to Bruce Campbell’s Q&A and of course, he was frickin hilarious. Some woman was rambling on, not even really asking a question and he said he was going to punch her in the face. I love that guy. He made us laugh so hard that it hurt. I didn’t meet him tho cuz I’ve been on disability and I didn’t have a lot of money. I’ll have to wait til his next book comes out, whenever that is.
Well damn, it’s 3:30am and I should be in bed. Matt and I are driving to Philly tomorrow for my grandpa’s birthday/father’s day party. It’s also my grandpa’s brother’s birthday and he’s going to be 85. My mom told me that it’s a surprise for him. I question the wisdom of surprising an 85 year old man…so I’m not going to say ‘Surprise’ just in case. That way I can’t be an accessory. Just a witness. I just hope all the shoobs don’t go home early tomorrow cuz I do not feel like dealing with those shenanigans.
I’m working on a post about my love of books. It’ll probably go up later this week, if you’re interested. I updated ‘currently reading’,’ me’ and ‘people i met’. I also have a tumblr. I mainly use it for pics and videos so I can stick to just words here. I also tend to reblog Batman stuff and bookshelves <3
